Sherman Romney has been an attorney in Craig, Colorado and the surrounding area for the past 22 years. Originally from Canada, Sherman graduated from the University of Utah (BA 1989 in Economics) and then law school at the University of Colorado at Boulder (Juris Doctor 1993). He has served as a municipal judge, assistant county attorney working with social services, Town Attorney for the Town of Rangely and is currently the City Attorney for the City of Craig. As a business attorney, bankruptcy cases became a large focus of his practice over the past 10 years, but he continues to provide services in the creation of wills and trusts, probate, business formation and sales, real estate contracts and financing, as well as representing landlords in eviction cases. Sherman and his wife, Lori, have been involved in various local small businesses, and especially enjoy their farming operation. They have three grown children.
Jon Pfeifer has practiced law since 2008, when he graduated in the top third of his class at the Indiana University-Bloomington School of Law. Jon initially was a prosecutor in the 14th judicial district of Colorado, and progressed to become the Chief Deputy District Attorney in Moffat County. Jon then moved to Grand Junction, where he worked at a law firm specializing in business and real estate transactions. Jon recently partnered with Sherman Romney, forming the Romney Pfeifer Law Office. He continues to focus on legal representation of business entities, estate planning and probate, as well as real estate transactions and representation of homeowner associations. However, he also has returned to criminal law, practicing criminal defense, as well as handling litigation for the firm. Jon and his wife, Emily, have three children, all boys, who ensure that there is never a dull moment at home or wherever they may be. Jon enjoys skiing, tennis, basketball, gardening, fishing, and exploring nature.
